comovis: Borough Alliances for the Economy and Labour

Borough Alliances for the Economy and Labour have been established in every Berlin borough. They offer a way of sharing the experiences that gsub has collected since 1997 in the course of establishing the Neukölln Territorial Employment Pact. The alliances bring together local players, who collaborate to define fields of activity and develop and implement action plans for the boroughs with a view to:

The alliances aim to establish networks and partnerships in the boroughs to identify and tap local employment potential and thus develop synergies that help to exploit borough-specific developments and characteristics to secure jobs and create additional training/apprenticeship placements and jobs.

gsub mbH acts as a service provider, establishing the alliances on behalf of the Senate Department for Labour, Integration and Women. It advises, coordinates and oversees the alliances in the Berlin boroughs of Treptow-Köpenick, Marzahn-Hellersdorf, Lichtenberg, and the Neukölln Territorial Employment Pact.

The activities of the alliances are financed by a unique funding mix, which gsub organises in close collaboration with the respective borough councils. Alliance measures eligible for financial assistance can qualify for funding from the boroughs, the JobCenters and the Federal Labour Agency, the State of Berlin and the European Union.
