gsub mbH has been coordinating work opportunities with additional expenses compensation (§ 16 d SGB II) since 10 January 2005. It also provides database-driven modules and forms for administrative implementation of Zusatzjobs (“ancillary jobs”).
Goals and functions
Zusatzjobs serve to expose recipients of unemployment benefits (ALG-II) to the regular labour market, integrate them into the world of work and/or enhance their employability. Zusatzjobs must not hurt competition, must be supplementary in nature and must be in the public interest.
Participants are typically assigned to positions at borough institutions, non-profit associations, welfare organisations, charitable organisations, etc.
Monies from the European Social Fund (ESF), allocated via the Senate Department for Labour, Integration and Women, allow the State of Berlin to also offer those holding Zusatzjobs the opportunity to participate in certified training programmes (www.comovis.de) offered by selected employment and education partners. People holding Zusatzjobs can freely choose from among the available programmes.
Participating partners:
The programmes last up to 12 months and each Zusatzjob entails a 30-hour working week.
Assignments are made by the JobCenter.
Purpose of the programme
To provide additional workers to assist in the following areas:
