Integrating recipients of unemployment benefits (ALG-II) for the long term
Berlin’s Stelle statt Stütze® (Work, Not Dole) programme offers assistance, advice and coaching to employees and employers during the first six months of employment. The goal of the programme is to stabilise new employer-employee relationships and to create the foundations for long-term workforce integration.
Stelle statt Stütze® – Coaching is funded by Berlin’s Senate Department for Integration, Labour and Social Issues and by the European Social Fund.
Small and medium-sized enterprises in Berlin with up to 250 employees can apply for a grant from Berlin’s JobCenter via the Stelle statt Stütze® – Coaching programme when they create a position for a recipient of unemployment benefits (ALG-II). The position must be permanent and subject to social insurance contributions.
The exact amount and duration of grants depend on the needs of each new employee. Funding can last between six and twelve months and can total up to 50 percent of the gross salary paid by the employer.
